Who We Are

Pekaj Group is a Melbourne-based quantity surveying and estimating practice established in 2011. We provide independent cost management services for builders, developers, architects and subcontractors working on residential, commercial and industrial projects across Melbourne.

The practice is led by Coba Pekaj, MAIQS CQS, with over 23 years of experience in construction estimating and quantity surveying. Before starting Pekaj Group, Coba ran the estimating department at a tier-1 Melbourne subcontractor where the team helped secure over $200 million in work across major projects including West Side Place, The Parkhouse, Mason Square and Sky One.

That contractor-side background is what sets us apart. We price the way builders actually buy and build, using current Melbourne subcontractor and supplier rates. We measure using CostX, we work to ANZSMM 2022 measurement standards and we deliver in a format that fits straight into your workflow.

We have sat on the builder's side of the table for many years. That means we understand how projects are actually procured, how subcontractor markets work and where cost risk typically hides.

Our estimates are built from real market intelligence, not published cost guides. When we price a trade we know what a competitive subcontractor number looks like because we have seen thousands of them.

What We Deliver

Detailed trade-by-trade estimates, bills of quantities, cost plans, progress claim assessments, variation management and final accounts. Every deliverable is produced as an editable Excel spreadsheet with marked-up drawings showing exactly what has been measured.

We include full transparency on quantities, rates and assumptions so you can interrogate the numbers, drop in your own subcontractor pricing and use the output in your own reporting.

We don't hand over a locked PDF and walk away.
