Pre-Contract Review

Before you sign a building contract, we review it and flag the commercial risks. During construction, we review progress claims against actual work completed on site. We check retention calculations, verify claimed amounts against the contract and provide recommendations on what to certify. For variations, we assess each claim against the contract and original scope. We check whether the variation is valid, whether the pricing is fair and whether it was properly instructed. You get an independent view on what is reasonable before you approve anything. All assessments are completed remotely via desktop review of project documentation. Where a site inspection is required, we engage trusted third-party professionals to attend on our behalf.

Final Account

At project completion, we prepare and negotiate the final account. This involves reconciling all variations, provisional sums, prime cost items and adjustments against the original contract sum. The goal is to close the project out commercially with no loose ends and no disputes lingering. A properly prepared final account protects both parties and ensures the financial position is agreed and documented before retention is released.
